Woo Sports: Device Testing At Revere

                              

Developing hardware for kite boarding can be challenging - but the testing days definitely make it fun!

Today, the forecast setup perfectly for an afternoon testing session at Revere Beach, a popular sandy beach just north of downtown Boston. Ytzen, Kirk, Sam and I spent the afternoon taking laps along the beach and testing the jump detection with the WOO app.

The WOO's accuracy is a combination of a calibrated motion sensor on the device and an algorithm built into the app that translates the data to jump statistics. Now that everything's running smoothly, the team is focused on zeroing in the accuracy of the device, so that only significant airs show up on your session summary, and all the stats check out.
